Maja Divac

Maja Divac is a journalist based in Belgrade, Serbia. She received her PhD from the Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade, Serbia, and her M.A. degree in Philosophy from New York University (NYU), USA. She studied Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, Serbia. She is one of the co-founders of  PG Mreza, a TV production company in Belgrade, where she currently works. She also teaches at the Faculty of Media and Communications in Belgrade. Her research interests are: media regulation and media ethics, EU integration process, foreign policy.  

Modern Censorship in Action

When censorship exists it is also talked about. This is true in the case of 17th century England, when censorship was imposed by Parliament, and it is also true in the case of countries that call themselves democracies, or which aspire to be democracies.
