Summer school Globalizing SEE in Zagreb

The Centre for Southeast European Studies is one of the partners in organizing the summerschool Globalizing Southeastern Europe in Zagreb from 29. 8. – 10. 9. 2013. The Universities of Leipzig, Bogazici University Istanbul, Graz, Zagreb and University College London (School of Slavonic and East European Studies) are announcing a joint summer-school-programme for 2013 on the topic of “Globalizing South-Eastern Europe”. The summer school is designed for two years. Last year’s summer school took place in Leipzig where theoretical questions were discussed.

Presentation of Studies on the Status of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Florian Bieber and Joseph Marko participated in a one day workshop on reforming the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the status of Croats in Bosnia in Mostar on 25 April. The seminar was organised by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Centre for New Initatives. During the workshop, a draft study on the status of Croats and possibilities for reforms were presented.

Uni Graz alumni chapter launched in Sarajevo

The alumni association of the University of Graz, Austria brings together its former students from Bosnia in Sarajevo. The newly established “Chapter Sarajevo” organizes social and scientific events such as lectures, discussions and gatherings, for former students and Austrian Alumni who work in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Head of the Chapter is Dr. Nedim Ademović, currently Head of Office of the President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with his assistant Emina Hasović-Brajlović.
